...What do you use?

I can only seem to find 16l buckets, and they just don't seem big enough... I want one that will be a full washing machine load full if that makes sense?? What size do you all use?

Show me yours please!

i think a lot of people like a bin type thing from wilkinsons... not sure what it is.... gosh i'm helpful !

i have a 16l bucket and it only holds a day and a half's worth of nappies so they are pretty diddy

I have a 13 gallon trash can, just a normal kitchen one with a lid and I use a WAHMies pail liner in it. Mine is a lot like this

Oooh, Jetters - i just found this https://www.plasticboxshop.co.uk/set-of-3-30lt-recycling-boxes-359-p.asp

Im thinking, 1 for AIOs, 1 for boosters/inserts/wraps that got mucky, 1 for wipes/clothes/bibs/other. They are pretty big too, and the green matches my nursery PERFECTLY!

Not saving my pennies as such, but more functional than a bucket. What do you think ladies?

eta - could also soak the wipes so they dont stain... oooh im excited over a box :dohh:

I use a bog standard 40L plastic kitchen bin from erm... I think it was Tesco  Either there or Asda. It has a lift-up lid, and it holds plenty of nappies. I've never yet had it get full before I've done a wash :D

I think it cost me a whopping £6 or thereabouts!

I got one like this but I think my one is a 25l one?? It's pink and I love it.

I think mine is a 25L one I got from those Nappuccinos ladies (the only useful thing I got in my incentive kit!). It holds probably three day's worth if I squash them down a bit and that's about half/two-thirds of a washing machine load. I actually find it easier to have two pails so I can do a full washing load. I prefer two buckets to one giant bucket/bin because I think a giant one would be harder to lift and harder to stash in little corners. I also like to have one pail in the bathroom for stinky poo nappies and one in the living room where I change LO. If we had a house rather than a flat, I would have one upstairs and one downstairs because I'm lazy.

I use a kitchen bin aswell  a full bin gives me a a full load of washing

Well mine is HUGE! Its 60 litres, has an airtight lid with a flick lock, and the inner plastic part lifts out to take the nappies down to the wash.
They are normally rather expensive, but I got it for about £25 including postage as it was put as a pet food storage bin on ebay

This is it, the small one is for wipes and that is 12 inches tall (I have a net wash bag in that so they stay together in the wash)
That's got 1 day of nappies in it, so it easily could fit upto 5 days worth

Mine looks about the same as this one. It doesn't quite hold 2 days worth but I wash every 2 days so it works well for me.

I use a standard 16l nappy bucket which holds 2 days worth. TBH I find that the nappies stink and need a strip wash if I leave them any longer than that anyway!

I have 2 16l ones that sit on top of each other! TBH, 1 can hold 2 days worth and i wash then anyway as sometimes teething poo left longer than that will stain!

So do you all do washing if there isn't a full machines load then?

^^ i think im just gonna "boost" my washes with bibs and things... that way it wont be a wasted load iykwim?

At the moment I wash at the end of day 3 as I only have enough nappies for 4 days, but I have 9 more nappies arriving soon so I will then wash at the end of day 4.

It is currently just over a half load, lucky my washer has a mini load setting so uses 50% of the water!

I have a 16L and I only wash twice a week. Mind you I'm mainly chucking flip inserts in mine so less bulky than AIOs.
