Hi,
I have started weaning my little one.
Since Monday I have been giving him one cube of carrot purree with some baby rice. We have had some rather explosive poos, the likes of which we haven't ever had before! I was expecting changes but maybe for them to be more solid rather than this.
I was going to move on from carrot today...maybe to potatoe?
Any thoughts?
Is this normal?
thanksx

Carrot can help them go to the loo so that's possibly why. We breastfed so have always had explosive poos anyway but as soon as she started on solids her poop got harder aswell. He could maybe have a touch of tummy ache aswell given it's his first tastes. Keep an eye on it and make sure he gets plenty of water.

Its quite normal to have those poos with carrots :) I would not give potatoes right away maybe something lighter like butter nut squash or sweet potatoes ?
