I spoke to an employee in the hospital insurance office about picking a different hospital because of the pressure of epis, medicalisation and interventions, and she literally snorted laughter at me, and said "I'm sorry. (not really sorry at all, as she was still laughing/smirking at me) I was like that too with my first one. You WILL want it once you're in the mix of things."
SERIOUSLYYYYY
HOW ******** rude can you BE?!?!?!?!?!?
WHY am I FACED with such OPPOSITION for a natural BIRTH in a damn HOSPITAL?!?!?!?
Am I the only normal person?
Or am I the crazy one?
And right before that, I was voicing my concerns to my ob-gyn Nurse Practitioner about the interventions, and she shot it down. Nicely of course, but completely shot it down like there was no way not listening to them wasn't a good idea, not even in the hospital. I need to take the advice from the doctors no matter what. That's what they went to school for.
Yea... I'm going to do that when that stupid hospital has a 37% C-section rate...
What I'm going to have to do, is labor mostly at home and be on constant guard when I actually am there!
This was probably a slight rant.
I see this is just the start!!!! WTF!!!!
I thought we were past the 1950's and women are not regarded as idiots to just hand their children over to whoever to do WHATEVER, as long as they WENT TO SCHOOL. I thought we could make our own decisons...
Apparently not!!!
