hi i wondered if anyone could give me some advice about pregnancy after a cs , i have 11 children and my last baby was born by emcs as i had a cord proplase, he is now 5 months old and ive found out im 5 weeks pregnant with no.12 with me being an older mother and having high bp i was booked in for an induction with my last baby on my due date but i went into labour naturally a few days before this but it ended in a emcs,is it likley they will ofer me a planned cs this time ? as they wouldnt want me going over and i dont think they would like to induce me and because my last baby is only 5 months old would it be a greater risk to try for a vbac? because my body hasnt had time to fully heal,if they do offer me one does any one know what week of pregnancy they would likley do it as i have gone into labour before at 38 weeks with most of my babys being around 1 week or so before there due date, thank you any info or advice would be wonderful, thanks.xxx

Wow 12 babies!! That's amazing!

I would imagine, although I can't be sure, that they would plan a section because of your pre existing conditions and previous births. That way you'll be monitored better, although if you go into labour naturally before the section then they'll try for a vbac.

I would have thought that they will tell you the plans when you first see the midwife and you can always ask if this isn't mentioned.

Hi congrats on number 12!!!!
From what I have read, they won't induce you after an emcs and should offer you a choice of vbac or an elective.
I am pregnant with no2 after an emcs 8months ago, and my doctors said risks were the same as a normal pregnancy.

Good luck. X

With me, I met a consultant at my dating scan. He looked through my notes and discussed my options with me. I requested a VBAC at this point and he agreed. It was also agreed that I would be MW led.

I met with the consultant again at 36 weeks to double check everything.

I had a final consultant meeting at 39 weeks and an induction was booked, just in case.

I went into labour naturally, but had meconium in my waters so had to be consultant led during labour. I was put on the hormone drip at a lower dose that 1st time around. I also had the epidural at this point, just in case.

I ended up with another EMCS, but it was less frantic and more controlled than my first.

Congratulations on number 12!
