Need an experienced OPK users advice please!

So I decided to start using OPKs this month to avoid the heartache of not knowing when I ovulated with my cycles being messed up since my MC.
They arrived on cycle day 4 so I started using them then (too early.. I know, I just wanted to be sure)
Since then they've gotten darker (not positive, not even close really) and then a lot lighter again.

My question is, is it normal for them to fluctuate in colour like this throughout your cycle when you haven't ovulated yet?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

Yes it is. We always have LH in our bodies, you might also notice your OPK getting darker around AF, which is why using OPK as a HPT is generally a no-no.
