So my DH has been asking about what it means if my cervix is firm. I know what it means but my trouble is how to explain it to him so he understands. He's so curious..He wants to know all he can about my fertile period...I just know the cervix is ever changing and using it as a fertile sign should be secondary and not primary...anybody have any idea what I can tell him or how to explain it? I'm looking for any answers please ladies....TIA

You could just explain that hormones cause the cervix to become high, soft (like lips) and open during your fertile days leading up to ovulation, and lower, firmer (like a nose) and closed at other times during your cycle. He might be able to feel your firm low cervix while BDing (kinda like bumping into something!), while a soft high cervix can almost blend into the vaginal walls. I have to say, that is really quite sweet that he's so interested in your fertile signs!

I tried telling him that when I checked it about noon it was SHOW...and when we had DTD that night it was firm.... I just know it moves a lot all through the day
