Need Help with finding Breast Feeding Benifits Articles

So as some of you know Nico was born with a cleft lip. He had his surgery when he was 4 months old. Anyway he is a few days shy of 10 months now. These were taken last week. Just so you can see how he is doing. He had his last check up at the Children's Hospital yesterday and passed every test with flying colors and weighed in at 19 1/2lbs. Here is my question. Everyone was very happy and impressed with how he is doing and said so BUT the final doctor we saw, a lady to boot, told me that at 1yr old we need to consider weaning him down as much as possible from breast milk. She was not impressed when I told her I plan to breast feed till he self weans and then continue with pumping and a sippy cup till he is 6, when his immune system kicks in fully. She said once they start with solids there is no real benefit from breast milk any more. She was very negative about continuing breast feeding after a year. Where as everything I have read states the opposite. That the longer a mom and child breast feed the better health both enjoy, intelligence increase and so on. I feel like I am between a rock and a hard place on this because of the issue we are fighting with Social Services for the return of my other 3 children. I worry that if I don't follow the doctors advice to the letter then Social services will find a way to use that against us like they did before. So since I don't want to change my long term goal I was hoping for all your support by helping me find studies and articles that show the long term benefits so I am prepared if this becomes an issue.
