Hello everyone, My name is Nicole and I am 24 years old. This wed. I will be 22 weeks pregnant with my lil boy. I had a rescue cerclage placed at 20 weeks and everything seems to be going fine. This morning I used the restroom and noticed when I wiped, there was a thick glob of whitish mucous- and was wondering if anyone knew if this is normal?? Or could it be my plug? I plan on calling my dr- but his office doesnt open for 3 more hrs and im a little worried!

Hi love. A mucus plug is a giant glob of what looks like snot (sorry), it is usually brown tinged with streaks of blood.

It could very well just be the normal white milky discharge of pregnancy - I had lots of it in all mine, and sometimes it pools in your vj, then comes away when you move around. I had so much gunk in my vj, and around my cervical stitch, that consultant thought my cervix had actually dilated fully on one of my internal scans - discharge looks like big black space on an ultrasound.

Needless to say I got to 38wks with big twins, so the discharge meant nothing. Why not join us on the cervical stitch thread hun? We offer lots of support to ladies going thru exactly the smae as you x

I lost little blobs of what you have discribed 3 of 4 times with my DD. Your plus can come away and then regenerate or it could just be normal discharge. Hopefully thats all it is.

thank you ladies! I feel much better, I waited so long to become pregnant, and when I was diagnosed with IC it was devastating, so I am very anxious and scared! I didnt realize there was a cerclage thread, but I will definately look for it now! Thank you so much and congrats on the twins!
