Need some advice please!

I went for a job as a room leader at a new nursery opening soon and I got the job. I just found out while waiting for the job to start that I'm about 7 wks pregnant and I now don't know if I should be up front or just wait for my first scan to make sure that everything is o.k?
I already have an 11yr,6yr and 3yr old.

You don't have to tell them until you're 15 weeks.

I think I know what nursery u may be talking about but dont worry Im not directly linked with the company anymore, I think u should take the job and dont tell them until u feel comfortable, least then u will get mat leave and pay

I'd take the job without saying anything tbh , At least you have your foot in the door that way. I started a job & 3 wks later i genuinely found out i was pregnant but they sacked me soon as i told them, I honestly didn't know i was pregnant though but if i'd of told them at the interview then they didn't have to pick me & i couldn't of proved it was discrimination or anything. As it was i took them to court & the barstewards went into liquidation the day before our court date so i was entitled to bugger all basically as everyone else would get paid before me

Yeah no employer would take on a new employee who they knew was pregnant unless they knew you were an absolutely fabulous long term prospect for the company. They'd always find another reason to choose someone else. Stick to your legal rights and tell them at 15 weeks.

Just to let you know that my morals got the better of me and I went and told them! She seemed very nice about it and told me that I didn't have to tell them but I felt that I needed to be honest.
I just have to wait and see now as they don't have enough children yet to get me employed. Finger crossed X.

Guess what guys, you were all right!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so trusting I always think the best of people. I got a phone call and then a letter saying due to lack of numbers the position that they might being thinking of putting me forward for is now not avaible until maybe Janurary. When I was there they were talking about them needing me in about 3-4 weeks, PEOPLE ARE SO HORRIBLE AT TIMES.
All I want to do is find a job so that we'v got some money coming in for xmas and I get this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a phone call and then a letter saying due to lack of numbers the position that they might being thinking of putting me forward for is now not avaible until maybe Janurary.
