So, when I got pregnant with my daughter (who is now 2) six weeks into marriage, I thought, "well, that wasn't so hard..." I was 37 when I gave birth to her and am now 39. I was pregnant for 9 weeks and 3 days this past winter, but lost the baby. Since then for the last seven months, we have been TTC. First naturally and then after months of frustrating OPKs, determined I wasn't ovulating. So dr put me on clomid. Her only concern initially was that my fsh was 9.3, and they want to see it under 10. Yesterday, CD4, went for bloodwork and monitoring to start clomid cycle 2 at 100mg...and FSH came back at 12. I was told that I would probably only have one or two more cycles before I am referred to a specialist. So, here I am thinking...maybe my first pregnancy was a fluke...because here I am at 39 and it seems like I am in early stages of menopause and the chances of a #2 seem slim. I need to know that clomid works and that high fsh isn't a barrier to healthy pregnancy. Anyone out there who can provide that for me today? Thanks so much in advance.
