My husband loves outer space and I thought it would be perfect to pick a son's name that was that of a star or constellation. I've been looking but can't find one i like that also is masculine.

Any suggestions? Or is this too "out there"? :haha:

Did a few searches for astronomy related names...

Here's the ones I like best from stars, constellations, astronomers, rocket ship names:

Orion
Leo*
Phoenix
Hunter*
Nash*
Sirius
Draco
Aries
Perseus (Percy)

Clyde
Edmund
Nicholas*
Maximilian*
Edwin
William
Herschel*
Isaac*
Neil*
Amos*

If any are a little too out there, they could always be a middle name instead!

I like Rialta, but it sounds feminine to me :/

Damn Harry Potter ruining Draco for me! Lol

Archie

Related to the archer constellation

I want to use Orion but hubby vetoed it for me. I think that's an awesome name though! Could go by Ryan if he wanted too.

I like this idea, but most of the names would be (appropriately) pretty 'out there'!

Castor
Atlas
Altair (could be amended to Alistair)
Arich (could be pronounced like Eric)
Rigel
Kuma (is also Japanese for 'bear')
Navi (literally Ivan backwards, so Ivan would work too)

Or you could go for a famous astronomer:

Johannes (Kepler)
Tycho (Brahe)
Isaac (Newton)
Albert (Einstein)
Carl (Sagan)
Stephen (Hawking ... actually, Hawking is a pretty cool first name too)

So many great suggestions from the other ladies! :) I had fun reading. hehe
