Needing advise

I stopped taking birth control almost three months ago. My husband and I are not preventing but not trying just yet. In the time since I stopped taking birth control I have only had one period. We have had unprotected sex a few times since my last period and since my periods irregular since I stopped birth control I'm just unsure of when I should think about talking a pregnancy test. Any help would be great.

A good rule of thumb that I was always told is to take a pregnancy test two weeks after you the most recent time you've had unprotected sex. A pregnancy test should be accurate by then.
