Hi ladies my name's Jennifer. I'm 27, I have pcos, and I have been ttc for 3 years. I am currently on clomid 150 and I'm also using preseed this month. I am on cycle day 12 so I am currently in the "trying" phase. Dh and I have planned to "try" everyday for the next 12 days. Anyway I'm looking for ladies to talk to and share this journey with. Also if anyone out there is a christian I'd love to pray and share spiritual support.

Hi eternaldream. I have just come across your post and wanted to say my thoughts and prayers are with you. A song just popped into my head 'When the tears fall' by Tim Hughes and I am listening to it right now. I have tried to include the link but because I'm new it won't let me just yet. So, try UTube! I hope this will be of encouragement to you.

Hi Eternaldream. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 7 years ago and have been ttc for 20 months. I am currently taking clomid 50mg and this month was our second iui. We tried preseed this month so fxd that this month will bring us our bfps! I would love to have a buddy to pray with and offer spiritual support to!

Hi 2become3. How long have you been ttc for?

Hi No Doubt, we have been ttc for 15 months now. DH has low sperm count (11 mill on first SA- we are collecting the second set of results today). We have got our first appointment booked with the fertility clinic for the 25th April- eek!

It's good to hear from you

My hubby has a low sperm count as well. 23mil the first time 13mil the second time. The iuis are always worse cause we try to bd at least once within that fertile timeframe, but I will say a change in his diet has seemed to help.

Hey everyone thanks for all the replies. Hope everyone is feeling well this morning. I notice a lot of people who are on clomid are only on 50mg. Do you ovulate on that dose? My dang body wouldn't respond till the 150. Hmmm.

Blessings and baby dust to all

I O on this dose, but I Oed on my own before. Now I just get more follies, which is good cause we would love to have twins.

Hi ladies. I'm new to babyandbump and in need of a friend too.
I am 32 and have PCOS and have been TTC for just over 12 months now. I tried provera and clomid and my body was resistant to both. For the past 4 cycles I have been having FSH injections to bring on ovulation. AF came this morning so I guess I will be starting another round of injections tomorrow :(

Hi Sam! I'm sorry that your body isn't responding to the meds. Stay strong and keep trying. Your day will come.

HI eternaldream! I am Amanda. I am 20 (2 months from my 21st in june) I know I am young but I got married a month after I turned 18. We started trying exactly 3 years ago this month, Yes I was still 17
I too have pcos. But I don't respond to clomid, or any of the other pills like femera. and I was a slow responder to menopur. I am now trying to lose weight and attempting to use natural remedies along with weight loss to hopefully get my cycles back. I am currently on cd9 and crossing my fingers that I ovulate because of the weight I have lost and because I took alot of soy iso this cycle. It is my first cycle using it and I kind of over did it a bit. I have not ovulated since I was 14, if that. I would love to be buddies! :flower:

Is this the first time on this dose of clomid? Are you being monitered this cycle?

Hi sam, I also don't respond to clomid and I did one cycle of menopur where I responded slowly. I only had an 8mm folly on each overy on cd 13 so the cycle was canceled. It cost us about $3000 to do that cycle and we can't afford another one for a long while.

How was your husbands SA? Would you counsider iui to up your chances. that's what we were gonna do, because the meds were so expensive we figured $300 on top of it to increase our chances of concieving were pretty worth it. but that depends on what your insurance will let you do I guess. Good luck this cycle. :flower:

Hey Amanda.

I actually started clomid a year ago. I was part of a study for pcos at my hospital. They started me at 50mg then kept moving me up till I finally responded at 150mg. After the study dh and I took a year off trying cus we just needed a mental and emotional break.

You are a youngin,:winkwink: but it's probably good your starting young.

Hearing your stories makes me feel blessed that my body is at least responding to these meds. And it's crazy how expensive this can get. I'm so lucky I have good insurance and I only pay $10 for my clomid.

Hello ladies...i'm 29..diagnosed with pcos about 7 yrs ago..started my first round of clomid(3-7)...hope it works...

Hi no regrets,
Thanks for your support :)
It must be tough that the medication needed ttc is so expensive. That must definitely add another stressful to an already stressful situation. :(
My husbands SA is good. So we are fortunate in that respect. The FSH injection that I take is the same as if you were doing iui but timing ovualtion and then my doctor tells us the times to DTD. I'm lucky that the drugs that I take are covered by health care so that instead of paying $1000 each cycle for the FSH drug we only pay $30. I also need to take pregnal close to ovulation as my body doesn't seem to want to ovualate properly even using FSH. I have spoken to my dr about iui, but because my husbands SA is good he doesn't seem to think it will up our chances that much. So we will keep doing what we are doing. I'm also using preseed.

Baby dust!

Hi Jennifer my name is Laura and I am also in need of a friend. I am 26 almost 27 and have been TTC for two years. My body did not respond to clomid until I started taking 100 and I am also useing preseed. My DH and I are also in the "trying" phase. We "try" every other day from the time I get off AF until time to start the next cycle. However during my fertile week we try everyday. I have also been looking for friends that are christian so glad God led me to read this thread. I will be praying for you and I pray you get a BFP this cycle!

Sam I don't know how you keep up with all the bd. Me and the hubby get exhausted from going everyday around O, let alone trying to do every other day throughout the entire cycle and everyday around O. We started using preseed this month too. Here's to a bunch of April bfps!

Hey ladies, I'm feeling rather down tonight and just can't stop worrying about things. One thing that has been on my mind is that I often worry what if Jesus returns and the world ends before I have a baby? It's a very real fear of mine. I know it probably sounds silly. But I know as a christian I'm supposed to want to go to heaven, but right now it just scares me.

I totally understand where you are coming from! I think about what if the world ends or some other disaster happens before I have a baby. I don't think it is silly at all. :flower:
