Negative opk but ewcm

My husband and I have been not trying but not preventing for a year now. We have a 16 month old who I am still breastfeeding so AF has not returned. We have started to really try this month and I started taking opks every morning for the past week. All of which have been negative. This morning after I took it I had ewcm. Could the opk be wrong? I don't remember the last time I had ewcm. I hadn't really been paying attention up until recently though. Tmi warning---the past few days I have has wet spots in my panties because of so much cm. But still negative opks. Thanks for your help ladies!

I'm too today get EWCM but negative opks. Wouldn't expect a positive for another 3/4 days based on other months. I take its just my body getting the fluid ready for when it does happen, the more EWCM the better I think!!
