Nervous about planned c section

I have a planned c section for July 19th. I am ok with it but still cannot help but be nervous. I have a major phobia of vomiting, I know its pathetic that of all things this is what I am worried about but it is truly a fear. I know nausea and vomiting can be one of the side effects of the drugs they give you. I am wondering if they give you anything before the procedure to calm your nerves??

Im right there with you. mine is scheduled for June 26th.
its my 3rd csection, but its been 8 years since my last one.
i also hate vomiting.lol havnt vomited since i was 15! and im already 35. not even with moring sickness.
but i didnt vomit with my 1st 2 csections if that helps any. i think they give you an antacid or something to help you, and i think something in your i.v. too for vomiting. not too sure about the i.v.


im more nervous about the actual surgery, and recovery...and being able to take care of the baby after being so sore.
but i try and stay positive. millions of women have csections.
it will be just fine
