My colleage got a promotion - sort of - last week. Just to a Senior - no authority but its a recognition of experience. Now I have been there a year longer so obv, I asked WHEN would I be considered for this etc..........she said that now they have a set work load for me and I have my own regions they will review at xmas adn that she wants to get me a raise as she thinks I am on too low.

BUT, I am 12 weeks on the 18th October....I am not going to be able to hide it I think, I can feel bump coming now.............If I tell them I am pregnant, and then they don't do the salary review and put me forward for what she has said she will........would I be over reacting to question it?

I know I am worrying about something that hasn't happened yet. But I'm PT, the other seniors (bar 1) are FT. There is no set criteria to meet, other than our appraisal targets and I have met them....well except for the courses as there arent any I can do!!! There was ones we were meant to be on but the person running them cancelled.

I just want my recognition...its going to prob be like a 1-2k pay rise (for ft wage) as well. Which would be really good.

If it is a recognition of experience then telling them you are pregnant should not stop this from happening.

If it does not happen then you should speak to the HR and find out the reason why? if you dont get a good enough reason then tou should certainly question this and maybe put in a complaint.
