I would use it hun.

I picked Kalea for my daughter, five little letters and it's pronounced as it's read... but so many people get it wrong. Doesn't put me off though cause it's a beautiful name.

I can't see why people would mis pronounce it - I've never heard anyone mispronounce the word Island so Isla should be simple.

Isla is a beautiful name btw.

Honestly, i had no idea how to pronounce it bc i had never heard it before i started hearing it on here....

I do think it's very pretty tho! And it's becoming a more popular name... plus there is a current actress with the name (Isla Fisher)...... So i think everyone now (or will soon) know how to say it correctly!

Isn't it funny how you love a name for such a long time and then it becomes popular the year or two before you get pregnant! I love the name Ava, and have done so for a good 10 years or so.. so I finally settle down and have baby number 1 and the name Ava is suddenly very popular, gaaa!

Anyway, I LOVE the name Isla ... what I would call my second daughter cos I love Ava too much.
