Does anyone have one?

Can you play online games, etc. with it? And what is your overall experience with them?

We've got netbook - its great for the internet and taking away with you. Cant say I've ever used it for online games though hun x

Are you thinking of these for the kids hun? :D

I have no clue of them :)

I was thinking of it for the kids but have heard that they are no good for playing games online. Just wondering what someone else's experience was.

With that said, think the idea is waivering off anyhow as Jayden and Amanda each have their own computer to use now and are quite fine with them.

I have a netbook.

They are designed for being quick and easy to use for internet, email and word processing. They power up in 30secs and are slim enough to fit in a handbag.

However they don't have the capacity to download large games, and I don't know about playing online ones. They just aren't really gamer computers.

We have one and although it has 1.5Gb of RAM and a 160Gb hard drive its more for browsing, word processing etc than a full on gaming machine! They dont have built in CD/DVD drives so installing games might be a bit more problematic but depending on the type of online game your kids like it would probably be down to the individual how they found it

Jake as one ...he goes on runescape and kings of age its fine ...I made sure i got him a windows version. I think it depends on the memory and how fast they are ...his has 1gb ram and 16gb harddrive 229 from comet x

oooooo good question hun, i'd love to get dh one as he is not much of a wizz kid but thought a net book would be starting point for him it would only be for lookin at motorbikes and chatting to friends on.

I am using a netbook right now and it is great for internet surfing and some flash games but as for full internet games, like WOW, the computer can not handle the graphics. Also, the screens are small so usually a whole game image can barely fit in the screen or doesn't completely fit on the screen at all.

If you want it for games, I would not recommend on but for internet and data processing stuff, it is awesome.

Good luck.

My OH heard it was crap for online games so I had to get some second opinions :)

Too bad as it would have been a good idea for my stepkids.

Thanks ladies!
