Hello Ladies

I hope you don't mind me joining you in this section. I am currently 6+4 weeks pregnant after losing my daughter Ellie Mae. She was born prem at 25+5 weeks on 29th Sept 09. Sadly she passed aged 7 days.

As i'm sure you all understand i am absolutly terrified that it might happen again. I almost dont want to get excited.

Any tips or advice on how to cope would be great. Thanks in advance xxxxx

How sad and terrible for you to have gone through that. So sorry for your loss. Have you had any grief counseling about the loss of your daughter? That might help you process the feelings you're having now. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thank you for your reply. I have been having counselling for a couple of months now and it has really helped me.

I think its just hard as its coming up to the first year milestone since she was born and then died and its making me think about it more and that it might happen again.

xxxxxx

Hello hun - welcome!

Congratulations on your new pregnancy!! We are due only a day apart!

So sorry for the loss of your princess Ellie-Mae - sending her floaty kisses x x x x x

I am so sorry for your loss... It is understandably a hard time for you. Just try to relax and enjoy this experience again. A lady who works with my mum lost her first at a very similar age to Ellie Mae, last month she has given birth to a very health baby girl. She said as soon as she could feel the movement of the baby that the second was stronger and livelier than the first. Hopefully this will be the case for you and will give you some comfort and reassurance as your pregnancy progresses xxx

No real advice - I can only try and understand what you have been through :hugs: - but there are lots of lovely ladies to talk to whenever you are feeling down.

It is a rollercoaster of emotions being PAL so just take it a little bit at a time and vent on here whenever you need to. Also - try and enjoy this pregnancy, celebrate it and feel excited when you can.

Congratulations on your BFP :flower:

Thank you for your replies. Its nice to know there is people i can talk to who understand. I am hoping to be seen more often by consultant and midwife this time so hopefully that will put my mind at ease. Still doesnt quite seem real yet though!!!

Beadette - hopefully it will be an uneventful smooth pregnancy for us both. Would be nice to have someone to talk to who is so close with dates if thats ok? x

That's fine by me flower! I can't imagine the pain you went through losing your baby girl but I can share many o the early pregnancy anxieties with you x x x x x
