As most of the lovely ladies have explained you will be given a due date after your first scan, but the doctor may give you a rough guess at your booking in appointment
And don't worry about it not sinking in, I still can't believe I will be a mummy any day now!

You must be so excited. The waiting must be the worst haha! How far along were you when you found out you were pregnant? xx
And yeah it is, I went into preterm labour at 32 weeks and was told "anytime from now"... So six weeks on and still no baby! Getting inpatient lol.
I was around 4 weeks when I found out.

Most questions seemed to be answered, but I didnt know the date of my last period either, so I was told my due date at my first scan
And its totally normal for it not to sink in...I dont think it did PROPERLY for me until i hit exactly 30 weeks!! Even though i'd have 2 scans and felt kicks etc etc

Hmm what do you mean by essentials?!
Ive bought everything apart from the pram, which the babies father is buying, but id say so far on everything i've spent roughly around £700.
That includes: babies nursery, clothes, nappies, wipes and bits like that.
But ive been buying since 16 weeks, Im 32 now. But im very fortunate to have a good income.
You still have a long time to go, so if your comfortable with it, and you dont have a million pound to spend! start buying early to spread the cost. Baby clothes are very cheap, try sales and stuff. They really dont need much, babygrows and vests and stuff and then obviously nappies, lotions and potions etc, moses basket, pram.

My OH has quite a good wage I won't be working while at college but i'm sure we'll manage quite comfortably. Well so I hope haha. xx
