New Pregnant Teen

Thanks Rachel, I was kinda freaking out they wouldn't be able to tell otherwise! Haha. It feels so strange did it take you a while for it all to sink in? xx

It did at first, I was still in that am I really pregnant stage? Like is this really happening? Haha, OH wasn't even worried about it. But now..I think it's starting to kick in for him since he's been going to the ultrasounds and see the baby, and be able to feel the baby kick. It's a big thing you know?

How's your OH taking it? :)

Quite well. Basically the minute we did the test his first reply was "Whatever you decide i'm fine with it. Although I bet your mind is already up" So far he's been great. I don't think it's sunk it for him either though. I'd said to him he didn't need to come to my first appointment but he's insisting on it. Since he works nights it's not to bad. I'm more worried than him tbh! xx

Don't know if you are asking me? lol. But I am 19.

Conceived my daughter when I was 17, gave birth to her when I was 18.
Conceived this one either in the last few days of being 18 or beginning of being 19, and I will give birth while I am still 19.

xoxox

I was asking everyone really Haha. I'm 17 next month and I feel so young haha! My friend was 15 when she fell pregnant though and the minute her daughter arrived she suddenly seemed more mature. It's amazing! xx

That's exactly how my OH reacted. We had school so he wasn't able to go to my first appointments but now that its summer he's been going to every one.

I was worried way more than OH, but now I think it's the opposite haha.

How did you handle pregnancy and school if you don't mind me asking? I'm starting college at the end of the month however I'm worrying about it now. xx

You definately do 'grow up' when you have a child.. well most people do anyway! So much responsibility and everything. It is incredible being a mummy.. can't wait to be mummy to two!

Awh :) You'll be absolutely fine! 'Age doesn't define how good of a mother you are'

If you don't mind me asking were you at school/college when you were pregnant with Robyn?

Well before I was pregnant the plan was to go to move out and go to college, but now I'm planning on living with my mom till I can get myself on my feet and provide well for both me and and my baby.

So, my mom works night as well and she'll be watching the baby during the day while I'm gone at school. Fortunately we have the good schedule so we won't have to worry about daycare for the most part. Of course it'll be the local community college because the closest university is about an hour away. You just have to work with what you have,

Don't mind at all. No I wasn't. I had actually left school a month after I turned 17, and me and my OH moved in together. I fell pregnant 4-5 months after that. I admire the girls who manage to juggle a little one and school.

My OH will be starting college at the same time as me, although I'm doing 4 highers and a int 2 so my schedule is a little more hetic than his. He'd be able to watch my little one from lunch time it would just be the mornings that would be a issue for me. My OH is convinced the college nursery is free to full time parents though but that seems to good to be true and I don't really want to put LO in nursery right away either. :) xx

It's great that you and OH are working together. It'll help a lot. Wow, a free nursery at a college? That sounds amazing. Don't give up on college though, it might be hard but it'll be totally worth it in the end for all of you. :)

Hi Fay, I'm Jenna. Thanks!

I'm sure another load of questions will come to me soon haha. If you don't mind me asking, how much have you spent on getting LOs essentials? I'm a bit of a freak and like EVERYTHING to be organised and to have a plan. Haha! xx

Hey welcome to Baby & Bump :hi:

As most of the lovely ladies have explained you will be given a due date after your first scan, but the doctor may give you a rough guess at your booking in appointment :)

And don't worry about it not sinking in, I still can't believe I will be a mummy any day now!

You must be so excited. The waiting must be the worst haha! How far along were you when you found out you were pregnant? xx

Definitley!
And yeah it is, I went into preterm labour at 32 weeks and was told "anytime from now"... So six weeks on and still no baby! Getting inpatient lol.
I was around 4 weeks when I found out.

Feel free to ask, theres always someone about to answer :D
Hmm what do you mean by essentials?!
Ive bought everything apart from the pram, which the babies father is buying, but id say so far on everything i've spent roughly around £700.
That includes: babies nursery, clothes, nappies, wipes and bits like that.
But ive been buying since 16 weeks, Im 32 now. But im very fortunate to have a good income.
You still have a long time to go, so if your comfortable with it, and you dont have a million pound to spend! start buying early to spread the cost. Baby clothes are very cheap, try sales and stuff. They really dont need much, babygrows and vests and stuff and then obviously nappies, lotions and potions etc, moses basket, pram.
Hope this helps a little!!
xx
