Try your job centre. You can get a grant from them which you dont have to pay back. its for furniture and carpets and stuff.. My friend got £800 and they pay up to £2000.. I am going to pop in there on Monday to get some advice and I also need to go down the council to apply for my housing benefit as on the council your still entitled.
I dont move into my place for another few weeks as its having work done but I would like to get it all sorted before. As long as I can find out when I need to apply I will be fine!! x
