*new starter* when to test for ovulation

Hello all

I'm a mummy to a gorgeous 3YO who was a "surprise" so never done the whole planned TTC but myself and fiancée really want baby no2

I have one of those period/ov apps on my phone which tells me my fertile days
Would you say that's accurate ? If not when do you all take you ov tests ?
Would really like to be bfp by jan 2012

my OPKs say to start at day 11. i tend to O on day 18, so sometimes i start then, sometimes i start testing a little later.

I start testing a couple of days after my period ends because I dont want to miss ovulation.
I've know people that got told by these ovulation calculators they would ovulate day 18/19 but they actually O'd on days 10-14.

So I would rather start testing early than miss O.
