A friend just bought me 5 Bum genius diapers... Im so excited to use them. I am stripping them now becasue they are preloved. Any advice on a first time cloth diapering mommy?

No advice but welcome to cloth nappies :D x

err possibly use liners (either fleece or flushable) at first...I find most people are scared off cloth because of the 'hands-on' approach to getting the nappies clean....

liners just take out the messy stage and make cloth soooo easy!

Yeah I am using the washable liners... Doesnt bother me to clean it.

So I am pretty sure we are gonna switch to cloth all together... How many should I get for a 3 month old? and I am getting pocket diapers one size with snaps....

depends how much you wana wash hun.....one every 2 days? one every 3 days? and how many nappies does your baby go through a day/night (24 hours period) on average at the moment?

...that should help figure out what numbers you'l need to get :flower:

Usually 20 absorbent bits and 5-6 wraps is enough. If you're using pockets,, they dry pretty quickly, so if you don't mind washing every day, you could manage with about 10 pockets, but you'd still need 20 inserts at least, as they take much longer to dry.
