New to this, can anyone help me with the word lingo?

Hi, I'm back on here after 4 years. Me and my partner are trying for baby no2. I'm a bit confused with all the short abbreviations everyone uses? Can anyone give me a run down of what they mean?

dpo+ days past ovulation
O= Ovulation
BD= baby dance (intercourse)
DD= Dear daughter
DS= dear son
DH= dear husband
CM=cervical mucus
MC=miscarriage
MMC=missed miscarriage
LMP= last menstrual period
2ww= two week wait
that's just a few, if u need to know which is which its easier to pin point what you don't understand, may be too many to actually write

ILoveme gave a good list. A couple others that I see a lot that might be helpful:

CP - Chemical Pregnancy OR Cervical Position (context will tell you which)
TWW - Two Week Wait (another way to write it), which is the time from Ovulation to your period
AF - Aunt Flo, AKA: period. Sometimes described as
FX - Fingers Crossed
AFM - As for me


If others pop up that you don't know, just ask. Most of the ladies here are super helpful!

FRER=First Response HPT
HPT = Home pregnancy test
BB's= breasts
FMU= First morning urine
SMU= second morning urine, etc...
OPK= ovulation predictor kit
