Hi girls, I have been on the TTC forum and just found this one by accident which is more suited to my situation so thought I would come and say hi and seek others in a similar situation as me! :flower:

Me and OH have been ttc for just over 18 months now. We have just recently been to our GP who has done some tests. OH's test pretty much ok, slightly low on one aspect but not too much to worry about. My day 21 test showed I didnt ovulate last month, I have irregular cycles so this month have had a test on day 14 and 21. When I went for my day 21 test there was a note on file to ask me to go and see the Dr, and apparently my results were borderline.

I wasnt expecting to have to go and see the Dr again as she said she would refer us to the fertility clinic and just wanted me to have another months results to take with me.

Anyway, thats me, I feel pretty lost reading all the posts on here because I really dont feel that keyed up on phases, vitamins etc that everyone talks about, am not really doing anything particular, was using opk's for a while but got sick of them and dont really know what I should be doing as I dont really know what my "problem" is yet.

Anyone in a similar situation to me, or know what will happen next, ie when I get my appointment at the hospital. Any advice or stories would be very much appreciated!

Baby dust to you all!

Hello and welcome SmileyKez!

Don't have any advice for you. Our problem is my husband low sperm count. But someone will be along soon who can help more I am sure.

Just wanted to welcome you to LTTTC. :flower:

Hi Kez

I'm in a similar situation, we've been trying for just over 18 months now. My OH had 2 tests, one low, one borderline low on all accounts.
On that basis they have referred us straight to IVF, but I've just received a letter to say they want us to go to sub-fertility clinic instead.
I'm not too sure of the difference, and I've not had any tests done to me. I have very regular periods, and think i always have ovulation pain so to be honest I don't know whats going to happen.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know you're not on your own.
Lots of love and baby dust to you.
xxxxx

Thanks Boomer, I am not sure what a Sub-Fertility clinic is either. Maybe you have to go to the Fertility Clinic with some test results behind you like we did.

I am North East too, we are being referred to Centre for Life. Its strange (and a little frustrating) how depending on who your doctor is, the procedure for investigation and referral seems different in every case! x
