Hiya,
New to here, Just wondering if anyone going through the same as myself.

Long story short, I am 33yo with a 9yo daughter, fell pregnant with twins( new relationship hence age gap) last May, sadly they died at 16wks due to Turners Syndrome, one also had a cystic hygroma had to go through the whole birth etc etc which was very distressing as i am sure you can imagine.

Luckily i fell pregnant again very quickly by the October, got loads of early scans which was brilliant very reasurring, at 10wk scan there was a larger than normal nuchal measurement, had 2 failed attempts at CVS (placenta in way). Had an ammnio at 16wks which came back clear(relief was immense) but was informed that there may be a problem with the heart............Had my 20wk scan today and there is a problem with the track going to the lungs........Have the cardioligist tomorrow (i live rural and just by luck hes at the main hospital tomorrow for his monthly clinic)
Doc today was very positive and says it may be repairable but obviously specialist knows better
Has anyone been here??? Gone through it??

Feel a bit down.......losing the twins destroyed me nearly and just as you think thinks look up something comes along to kick you in the teeth.
I know i am very lucky to have fallen pregnant so quick when others struggle but cant help but think why me again(sounds selfish perhaps)My partner has been brilliant been a real support but guess hes going through it all as well.

Sorry for rambling just looking for advice really
Thanks

welcome!!!

Hi, I hope you are finding lots of support here. We found out my son had a heart defect when I was 34 weeks pregnant, his heart was skipping beats and then racing at upto 220 bpm. I was kept in hospital which was very scary. The good news is that I was carefully monitored and my son is fine, he has SVT which is a minor heart defect and can be controlled by drugs. We have lots of trips to the cardiologist which can be a pain and I have found there is a sever lack of communication between doctors, midwife health visitors etc - when I went to see the doc for Rhys' 6 week check he though I was the one with the heart probs???!!! So my best advice would be to make sure you take a pen and paper with you to all appointments, its so easy to forget what has been said. Good luck with your pregnancy, I look forward to reading about the safe delivery of you LO x

hello and welcome :hugs: do hope you're finding lots of support here :hugs: x
