hi all,
I have an 8 year old son already and am hopefully looking to try for my second baby in the summer. I used this forum the first time round and it was so helpful but all feels like a lifetime ago! Can anyone remind me of the things I should be doing now to prepare myself, how I can work out ovulation and anything else I should be thinking of?
Thanks so much xxxx

So exciting! My daughter is 7 1/2 so we’re in similar situations. My main advice would be to get on a good prenatal with folic acid and DHEA. I’ve also cleaned up my diet considerably. I have PCOS, so I have to eat very low-carb. Some people do temping, and take ovulation tests. I don’t know too much about that, so I can’t be much help there. If you haven’t already, I would start tracking your cycles that way you know how long they are and when you should be ovulating. Hopefully that’s somewhat helpful. I accidentally got pregnant with my first so the second one will be the first one that we’re actually planning.

Thanks so much, really helpful! I have been tracking cycles for years but think I might try tracking temp etc so I have a better idea of when ovulating. It won't do any harm! Are you trying already or WTT?

Waiting! I'm having my copper IUD removed Thursday, then my period should be coming soon after that. So around mid-March will be our first cycle.
