I need some help ladies! I really need a good sling that I can use right after the baby is born. I have one for when she gets a bit older, but it is one of those slings that spreads their legs apart.

Can anyone help me and give me some suggestions on what to buy? I would love it if you showed me some links or know where to get it!! Thanks so much in advance ladies .

I am from the US btw, so if you know of anything that I can purchase in the US that would be so wonderful!

Please not one of those "wrap it yourself" slings. I have no idea how to use them and would be totally confused lol.

I've read that the stretchy "wrap it yourself" ones are amongst the best for newborns and have one on the way to me as we speak! Like you though, I'm terrified about not being able to do it right/secure enough etc! I watched the first video in this link though https://somdbabywearers.weebly.com/blog/stretchy-wrap-tutorials-and-tips and it actually looks super easy! What do you think?

I will for sure take a look (have to run some errands rq) but I will say it still scares me :(. I am one of those "worrier" type lol.

Any other suggestions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated as well!

I definitely am a worrier too! But I got this wrap from a friend so it was cheap and if I don't feel comfortable once it arrives and I've tried it, I haven't lost out on much. I'm quite confident after watching the video though :) Good luck!

Does anyone have any suggestions of a sling that is not "do it yourself"?

I dont think you'll find one that is not 'do it youself' that is just for newborns. With ergos and similar ones you can get inserts for new borns but that'll work out expensive if you dont want to use it for long. Wraps really arent difficult and they are so comfortable for them.

Maybe have a look at ring slings, i dont know much about them as they didnt appeal to me much but i think they are ment to be much eaiser.

I actually found a whole bunch! Thank you ladies for replying though!

Now to decide which one I want...
