DD is 9 days old and this morning I noticed a small blemish/spot under her eye, then just about 15 mins ago there were two more!
I took this picture then 10 mins later there still there but much less prominent! Is this anything to worry about?
Baby seems fine, feeding fine! Her last bottle was 1.5hrs beforehand!

I am answering in all your threads tonight lol!! My son was covered in these red spots similar to your picture when he was first born and for a few weeks afterwards. The midwife said they were completely normal and it was his skin reacting to the environment. They would just suddenly appear then disappear! He is two now and has quite sensitive skin, my 14 week old never got any!! I made sure I used non bio washing powder to help him, Red spots can also be an indicator of overheating too I was told so just make sure your little one isn't too hot :)x

Ah thanks so much for all ur replies willow, I've been wanting answers to these questions and finally found the time to come on here and just gone a bit post crazy lol!

My ds gets them and I wouldn't worry at all x

Newborns are like aliens on an unfamiliar planet. They break out almost as soon as they hit foreign air! Totally normal. :D

LO had lots of strange skin complaints to begin with but now has lovely skin.

My ds gets this too and my dd did as well. It's totally normal though :)

Just wanted to add that to make sure you are washing your clothes/tops in non bio aswell incase you have a LO with sensitive skin. My LO's were all a bit extra sensitive and when someone with heavily perfumed softener on their clothes held them they would break out. A good tip is to have a few muslin squares washed to offer any guests to place over themselves to add as a little barrier for LO, just tell guest baby is a bit sicky;) so as to not offend :)

Thanks everyone, the midwife came out and said it was nothing at all to worry about..just a newborn rash known as Erythema Toxicum Neonatorum.
