Hi girls.
Firstly congrats to you all for being here. After what we have been through i pray our pregnancies are happy and healthy ones:thumbup:

Well i got my :bfp: on the 29th, 4 days after AF finished! shock is not the word.
AF was heavy, clotty and 4 days long as usual and she showed bang on time! I got a BFN on the 19th and af on the 20th and now im pregnant!!
I had tons of symptoms prior to "af" such as sickness, exhaustion, headaches, couldnt drink coffee or team etc etc. I only poas after AF as i spotted a tiny bit of pink 2 days ago and wanted to "reassure" myself! lol.

With my last pregnancy in Jan being ectopic, i had bloods done 2 days ago and they were 371.3 and today's numbers are 682:happydance:
The midwife said that as the numbers have risen so well, that "usually" points to a uterine pregnancy, as ectopics are usually slow rising. So now i will be scanned on wed and see what is what. I just hope she is right about the chances of it being ectopic are slim, as i dnt want it to get to the stage it did last time, where i end up having emergency surgery and losing my last tube. Do my numbers sound good? I would be around 5wks pregnant i think.

xxx

Oh my goodness - that is just wonderful! Great to see you!
Sending you tons and tons of sticky dust- I cheered when I saw this post pop up :hugs:

My HCG was 317 at 4+4. So yours sounds just fine. One of my first symptoms is not being able to stand coffee. I miss my coffee.

Are they doing repeat bloods or an ultrasound soon?

Hi hun, cant give specific advice but numbers seem good and the fact it has risen by a huge percentage is good too.

My ectopic only reached HCG of max 100 so numbers are good. Apparently when HCG gets to 1000 + thats when they expect to see something in uterus. Mine were at 3000+ and they still couldnt see anything with this pregnancy but I have a retroverted uterus so when they rescanned me with my bum on a wedge bubs was there in my uterus

All looking good xxxxx

OMG Congtrats!!!! :happydance: :) that's wonderful news!!!!

wow! congratulations honey, hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months :happydance:

Africaqueen, I've been wracking my brain about your story. Is it possible you had twins and lost one very early? Has that been a theory anyone has mentioned? It is such a miraculous story and I'm just so thrilled for you! You know I'm cheering for you with my biggest, brightest pom poms!

Thanks! glad the coffee thing is a good sign :-)

They are not doing anymore bloods as they said they were satisfied enough with the increase that its a uterine pregnancy. I am still nervous as hell tho! They are going to scan me on wed morning but i may push for it on sun or mon as i am truly terrified at times and that cnt be doing me any good xxx

OMG! I remember reading about you before! Congrats hun, lets hope this is a sticky one! xxx

Heart tree- nobody has mentioned that theory to me, but i had thought about it... it would explain the neg test on the 19th, if hormones levels dropped so much and then all the bleeding for 5 days... it is all very very odd.
I keep thinking how could a baby survive that bleeding and then i get scared its in my tube and thats how it survived... i knw the midwife said my numbers point to a uterine pregnancy but fear is still making me panic about it:blush:
I did notice during the cycle i would of got pregnant from, that i had O pain frm both sides, so my bad side and good sign must of O'd together.
Its the strangest thing but i pray the most remarkable:happydance:

Congrats AfricaQueen!!

I saw your post on TTC after a loss and was thrilled to see one of the faces i knew getting a BFP!!

I have no experience with ectopics and HCG testing, so i can't comment. I just wanted to wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months. The nerves won't go away, i'm afraid, but they get a bit easier to deal with!

Keep us all posted and welcome to PAL!

Love,

Michelle XX

Hi africaqueen,

I remember you from the miscarriage forum, I'm so happy to hear that you are pregnant. It is a nerve wracking time, particularly the first 12 weeks and I'm afraid the nerves still linger about but the best I can advise is try to stay positive. I don't really know much about hcg levels but certaimly sounds like they are going in the right direction. Best of luck for your scan.

I hope and pray that all goes well for you and that you have a very healthy and happy 9 months

Best wishes xx

I am a nervous wreck here. Just hoping tomorrow goes fast and they can fit me in on mon for a scan instead of wed cos im starting to panic and it cnt be doing me or my lil beanie any good xxx

Its time to be cautious and to be careful time and time again. Avoid strenuous activities and a lot of things that you should avoid doing. Well, I know you know a lot about that. Just to say good luck to your pregnancy.

OMG!!!! Congratualtions!!!!!!!! :happydance::happydance:

I have no idea about the blood levels, but I'm thrilled to see you here - you deserve to have the best of luck with this one!
