Hi ladies,

I have been lucky enough to not have to buy lo any outfits due to the amount of gifts she got as a newborn... Just been buying the odd few babygrows here and there but now she is growin out of all them so jus wanted to ask..

What do u ladies make of next baby clothing? Quality wise and also sizing.. Is it accurate for an average size baby for eg 9-12 month clothing actually fits 9-12 month old babies.. I find some shops have smaller clothes in relation to what age range they are aimed at...

TIA xx

I find next clothes good size wise, they are quite generous. Love their babygros!

Yupp they are good size wise & quality..
I also like tescos clothes.
X

I love next stuff, washes well & the sizing so far has been good (although Emily is only 5 weeks old!) I think they are due a sale soon too x

i love next clothes too, but have found sizes quite small compared to some other places, my LO grew out of the 'up to 1month old' sleepsuits when he was about a week old because there wasn't enough foot room. He's now in 3-6 month stuff and there isn't tones of room left and he's only 11weeks tomorrow! mind he is a big boy...but not that big!! :)

I LOVE Next clothes, really good quality and wash really nicely!! Sizing so far has been accurate and Bobby is a big boy :)

My favourite shop for baby clothes is Matalan!

A huge range of beautiful clothes that are just as good quality as next, pumpkin patch etc and at a fraction of the price! Their sizes are good too xx

I do agree that next do fab sleepsuits though.

Bigbetty i got lo sum baby hareems from matalan and she grew out of them within a month .. And hadnt reached the full age range they were for.

However, i got her sum tunic tops and they stil fit her though .. Maybe shes jus got chunky legs and a small torso lol

Lol Fran is 5 months old today and has been in 6-9month clothes for about 3 or 4 weeks now - her thighs are very chunky too and I have to shake her into jeans and things but once they are over her hips they are fine.

Yeh i have to shake the hareems over her bum but fits waist fine lol

I LOVE Next clothes - they're great quality and really comfortable too. Size wize, I can't really answer because my LO is quite small for her age - she only went into 3-6 month clothes a couple of weeks ago.

I find Next clothing comes up HUGE. I bought 6-12 month stuff for my daughter and at 14 months old they're still too big for her. it's not a one-off either; we made the same mistake last spring when we bought her summer clothes and had to wait until the autumn/winter to use them :dohh: Granted, my LO isn't huge (she's underweight), but I have a friend whose baby is at the top end of the scale, and she has the same problem.

The clothing is a good quality; I have nothing against that. I just buy smaller now! One thing I would warn you about though is the necks of tops etc. I bought my LO jumpers for the winter. The body of the jumpers were still huge, but her head wouldn't get through the neck holes of either of them. In the end we never used them.

Caro103 how much does ur boy weigh?

he's 13lb 13. but is on the 98percentile for height, something like 62cm i think now...

maybe i do just have a giant as a son since everyone else says the clothes are big :haha:...though in asda and sainsbury ranges we're still wearing 0-3 stuff

Don't use the age as a guide, you need to use the weight as a guide instead really x

My lo was like this with her 0-3 month stuff.. She grew out of them at about 4 months.. But the 3-6 and 6-9 months stuff was pretty much around the age they were made for x

Ive found the t-shirts etc to be quite big on Olly but the sleepsuits and jeans seem to fit okay. Hes only just starting to fit into the t-shirts i got him (3-6 months), all his other 3-6 month t-shirts he is starting to grow out of lol

Evan has a next jumper I bought him for christmas in 3-6 and it still fits really well yet 3-6 t-shirts he grew out of approaching 6 months! He has some lovely trousers and a shirt in 6-9 that are getting tight but a 6-9 jacket which is massive!!

I have got a feeling the 9-12 stuff i have bought her from there are going to last longer than 12 months! I suppose thats good in a way although they will look big on her now lol
