heya ladies, just wanted to put a few of our options out there to get some other opinions - not got my next appointment til 9th dec so we've got some good thinking time!

so, we have two blasto's on ice - the nhs will put one back in at a time for 'free' - so we technically have two goes left. Now, i know there's a risk of them not surviving the thaw, so this is what i'm thinking -

start saving up for our 2nd (and it will be the last) full fresh cycle, with a view of starting in April, and in the mean time, have one frozen blasto in a natural cycle in jan, and again in feb or march. ( i was of the opinon of paying to have both the blastos put back together, but if it fails, that's an extra £2,500 that could've gone towards a fresh cyce)

my thought process is that if i focus on the big cycle, i'll be less despondant if i get two bfn's on the frozen ones. Also, i then have a definite line in the sand for rethinking my life plan if it doesnt work at all (entering our 5th year now and it's been a long long time, for me i think i need to call it a day somewhere)

what do you think? please let me know as i could never have gotten to this point without hearing others perspectives and thoughts - they really do help!

thanks ladies, speak soon x x x

Hi MrsF, I cant really give you any useful advise as we are are just about to go down the road of IVF, so im not that clued up about it all yet!
But I just wanted to wish you luck, it sounds as though you have been through the mill with TTC. Ive got all my fingers crossed that the next cycle works for you and you get thet longed for BFP!!! XX

Hey there, I don't think we spoke before. Nonetheless your post sounds like something I could have written in your shoes. I'm very much a "several eggs and several baskets" sorta gal when it comes to IVF so your game plan sounds very sound and logical.

I have to say I also admire two other things in your post. One that you managed several blastos! I can only wish... and second that you are being realistic and considering thinking of "what if it's not in the cards for us" which is something I consider too these days.

Fingers very crossed that it will not be a concern and we'll get our tiny ones though!

thankyou for your replies ladies x x x
