spent most of yesterday evening in hospital....
at 5ish i stood up and leaked! not a huge gush but enough to wet all my pants and through to my jeans. i put a pad on and in an hour that was damp too. so off we go to a and e and go to the womens ward where then im getting sever pain in my 'bits' and blood, but not from inside, more like the outside? and my 'bits' swell up loads and its agony!
so anyway the doctor come in, doesnt feel my tummy or do anything, asks me a few questions and says she thinks its a UTI and having damp knickers is fine and doesnt sound like waters breaking and is just discharge. when it wasnt just having damp knickers, it was a small leak which wet my pants and jeans.
so we went home, she gave me no reason to why my bits are bleeding or swollen and said as my gp has written me up a prescription to just pick that up on monday. (i got a call the other day saying i have another UTI and to pick up prescrition from them)
i feel confused, worried, but baby was moving last night and this morning and i listened in on the doppler and he has a good hb of 155-160...
my OH had a look and said its very swollen and the blood is coming from me 'wee hole' and that i need to see the doctor on monday urgently, he said we should try and see another doctor but i just feel so fobbed off from last night im not going in again and waiting another 3 hours for someone to just look at me and send me home.
this doctor was only an f1 (junior doctor, only qualifed for less then a year)...im just annoyed and worried! how can they diagnose you without looking?!
anyone had any leaking before?

Aww hun, So sorry you feel fobbed off. Why not try giving them a call and asking to speak with whoever is in charge of the current shift, maybe they can give you more info or arrange for you to go back in and see an Ob.
Hugs hun, I hope everything is ok, at least bubs HB is strong and you have felt movements x

I am sorry to hear you are going through this. I definitely would go back to hospital and demand to see someone else. If I knew the doctor was a F1, I would ask for a second opinion! I wouldn't want to go home without being examined! If your OH said he thinks you need to go back, then do it for your peace of mind.

good luck and hugs to you!

phone and say your not happy and def want to see someone else and you need someone to LOOK your problem and not just at your face..
emma

have you called your midwife to see what she says?
*hugs*
hope everything's ok.
xx

I would go back and demand to be seen, they really should be doing everything they can to make sure you are reassured and ensure everything is ok xx

Did they test a urine sample?

My waters broke at 14+5. The midwives/doctors really didn't believe me when I went in, probably as it's pretty rare for waters to break that early. However, the doctor scanned me straight away to find no fluid left around twin 1, but twin 2 (seperate sacs) was fine. She then swabbed me to test for amniotic fluid, which was positive. (the test is instant, the vagina is acidic, amniotic fluid is alkaline, so the test swab changes colour if amiotic fluid is present.

They should have scanned you and tested for fluid unless they were certain you had a UTI which was causing the leak. If your OH has said the blood is coming from you urethra, then it probably is a UTI, so don't worry, but they really should check. A quick scan would reassure you if nothing else.

Go back and ask to be seen again if you are worried. I hope you're OK?

I was going to say the same thing. They should have tested you. I dont think you can have soaked jeans with only discharge. and even if you did, it is there responsibility to make sure your baby and you are safe and should have tested anyways. I would keep an eye on it and lay low for a while. You can ask your MW to be seen tomorrow and i am sure she can do the test in her office.
