No 3rd trimester ultrasound?

I went to the doctor today and asked if I would have an ultrasound before LO is born and they said they typically don't do another one if she's measuring correctly the whole time, will they be able to tell me approximately how much she will weigh without one or is everything a surprise now?

not 100% sure about the US, but i know in the UK, that would be it from 20 weeks, we don't have any more ultra sounds, unless you either pay, or are at risk and they feel it's important to scan you..

Well then it must be the same here too. I had the 20 week ultrasound I just wasn't sure if there was another since most people get a weigh guesstimate and I wasn't sure how they went about that.

I had one at 18w3d and 36w4d with my son.

And i had on 10w4d and i have one set for 19w4d, i will also have one in third tri only cause i have a history of a low lying placenta. From my understanding but alot of woman here have at lease one in their third tri. I will also be hopefully getting a 3d4d 30 ish weeks.

i had loads of ultrasounds through my pregnancy, only because i was considered high risk because LO has a cleft lip.

if i wouldn't have had a high risk pregnancy i would've had a 12 week, 20 week and that's it. have you considered going to get a 3d u/s done? you can get 2/d u/s done to get measurements and stuff for fairly cheap.

YEAH I LIVE IN NYC AND THE LAST SCAN I qOT WAS AT 20 WEEKS. THEY TOLD ME I SCHEDULED THOUqHT FOR MY 32 WEEK SCAN AND THEN I THINK THTS IT IF BABYS MEASURINq OK it sux thouqh bcus i want to see himmm. they tld my too many scans arent qood for baby

I had a 12 weeks scan to see the baby for the first time, 16 week gender scan, and a 28 weeks growth scan. I think I might possibly get another one some time before she's born, but I'm not sure.

my last was at 20 weeks..
i then booked a private 1 and they estimated her weight..
also when my midwife feels she says she thinks she is on the larger side and guna be about 8lb in weight..i dunno how she can tell that tho to be honest x

I've had an ultrasound at 12w4d,18w3d have another one booked for 25w5days and my OB said that after 28 weeks i will have one every 2-3 weeks, but thats because I'm high risk.

its same for me ive had a grand total of 3 scans one was to confirm pregnancy... second was 14 week scan and 3rd was my 20 week one if everythings ok and babys measuring fine you wont get another one im afraid... so now its the big weight to see your LO lol! haha xx
