No fetal pole at 6 weeks?????

Hi my name is Zandra, I've just been for my 2nd scan in nine days due to bleeding, my yolk sac has grown only 5 days in a space of 9 days, I have no fetal pole showing and I'm 6 weeks pregnant. Question is, Is this heard of/normal or am I clutching at straws????

Any advice is greatly received.

I went in for an US at 5w5d and only saw gest sac and yolk sac, didn't see heartbeat until 7 weeks

I have to go back next Friday for another scan because my 6 week scan only showed yolk sac. The midwife said it is just too early to see heart beat yet and booked me another appointment to come back

At 6 weeks, you might not be able to see a heartbeat, but you should definitely be able to see a fetus. It's tiny, but it is obvious when it's there... I'm sorry... There are exceptions to every rule... Sometimes, babies implant late. Sometimes, we ovulate later than we thought.... Keep praying. I'll be praying for you, too.

I just went in at 6 weeks 2 days and there was only the yolk sac but my doctor did not seem worried at all. He said based on LMC I should be 6 weeks.. but depeding on O and implantation one to two days make a world of difference. I go back in two weeks and the Doctor seemed pretty optamistic that we would see a little bean and a Heartbeat so thats what I am hoping for.

I went to my 6 week US last pregnancy and saw an empty sac. I was "sure" of my dates and so was very upset when I didn't see anything at the scan. I was measuring only 4 weeks and some days. 2 weeks later I went back and saw a heartbeat. Not sure if this is the case in your situation but I wanted to share with you what happened to me.

By my lmp I am 6+5 but fetal pole on scan only 1.7mm and no heartbeat. Way smaller than it should be so like you I'm worried sick. Checked due date by ovulation and one site says I am only just 6 weeks which would tie in with scan as fetal pole starts to be visible at 6 weeks. Got first midwife appointment on Monday so going to ask lots of questions then. Fingers crossed for us all x

Update; I have started bleeding heavy tonight so I am pretty sure of my outcome but I will have to wait until Monday the 19th for it to be confirmed, So sad right now! I am still praying for a miracle though and for the other ladies going through a difficult time at the moment.

If you are bleeding and cramping I'm sure your dr will get you in earlier. Hope everything is okay!
