No fetal pole or heartbeat at 6+4. fetal pole but no heartbeat at 8+3. confused!!

I had an early scan at 6+4 and they only found a gestational sac. I waited almost 2 weeks for another scan which i thought would confirm for sure that i was miscarrying. The scan at 8+3 has shown a very small fetal pole but still no heartbeat. They have now said i need to have another scan in 2 weeks to see if it has developed anymore. I am so confused!! How could i have got a positive test result 5 weeks ago and only now be showing a fetal pole??? Anyone have any answers?

Sorry this doesn't sound good. sounds like a miscarriage unfortunately all you can do is wait until next scan. But at 8+3 you should have seen a well developing ababy and heartbeat. I'm sorry you're going through this.
