I went for my scan today only to get the devastating news that there was no heart beat, We knew before the doctor said it because it looked exactly the same as it did 2 weeks ago.

I am in my 13th week and was told that it only measured 11 weeks and they couldn't find a heart beat. They called it a missed or silent miscarrage. I am going through so many emotions right now I don't know what to think or what to do!

2 weeks ago I had a threatened MC with cramping and bleeding when I had a scan the baby's heart was beating, it must have died shortly after the scan, but the cramping and bleeding stopped and pregnancy symptoms continued.

I've opted to let nature take it's course but i'm worried now that it might take some time and I could get an infection.

I don't think it has fully sunk in as I still had pregnancy symtoms over the last 2 weeks, my boobs are still tender and i'm sure the bump got bigger! Having said that a few things/signs are starting to make more sence now.

We are both devastated, This is one of the most heart wrenching things I've gone through.

:hugs: im so sorry for your loss xxx

Hi there, so sorry to hear your news, it is truly devastating, I have been going through it for over two weeks now and it has been the hardest two weeks of my life.

If you have opted to let it happen naturally I understand it can take 5 or 6 weeks from what i was told (but obviously for some it happens much more quickly) I opted for medical management but in hindsight I may have been better opting for the surgical as I am still bleeding and have pains.

Do you have good family/friends to support you? the people on this forum have been so brilliant, my hubby has been a rock and my friends and family have been great but it helps a lot to talk to ladies who are going through or have gone through this as only they can truly understand how traumatic it all is.

Sending you big  and if you need to talk please feel free to pm me.

Tracy

So sorry for what you are going through, I know just how you are feeling I went through the same on the 16th April. My baby died at 9wk 6days, I had no idea anything was wrong untill I had the scan:hug:. I went in for a d&c on the 18th. This was our first baby i too am still finding it hard to come to terms with. Hopefully in time things will get easier for us but I know we will never forget our special little one.
Take care of yourself.
xx

Im so sorry to hear what your going through, and i can relate. i found out my baby died 2 weeks prior on my 10 week scan.. its very hard :hugs:

I opted for a d&c as i was told by friends who did it naturally they regretted it, and im very glad i did. But everybody's different, you have to do what's right for you!

I promise you you will get through this, but in the meantime do what ever feels right for you, take as much time off as you want and dont feel anything you do is silly, weird or un-natural. Its what you need to do right now that is important.

I really feel for you chicken, take care :hug::hug:

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you. :hugs:
