So, usually around 4 dpo my boobs begin to get sore and the pain grows as well as increasingly painful cramping occurs leading up to af. This cycle my boobs feel fine other than the occasional shooting pain and I have little to no cramping except for a twinge here and there on the right side. I am about 15 dpo at this point. Haven't had the courage to test as I'm on my 11th cycle. So tired of bfns.

Just to throw it out there beginning around 11 dpo I've been having an unusual amout of ewcm and a terrible cold with some nausea (probably caused by the amounts of drainage from the cold). I don't temp, and I did not get a positive opk, but I never have much luck with them.

Am I having an anovulatory cycle? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have almost the exact same question as you somewhere in my statistics. A lot of women will disagree with me, but I have read a few medical articles that say that if you have no pms symptoms/feel no symptoms of a progesterone rise, that means you did not ovulate. It makes perfect sense to me because progesterone is produced by your body to sustain a pregnancy. If no egg was produced, I could see how your body would not produce progesterone. I am sure some women will come on & say "I never have sore breasts, and I know I ovulate and bla bla bla". But I think it depends on YOU and your body. I myself normally DO have sore breast from the progesterone rise. Only once or twice a year I do not have them after when I was suppose to ovulate , and I truly believe those months I do not ovulate. I don't care what anyone else says, or what happens with their own personaly body etc. Doctors say this is so, which I believe they direct this at women who DO normal experience symptoms of a progesterone rise, and I believe it because of my own personal experiences. Also, I have heard of women getting an LH surge on OPK & having temp rises, but a doctors test on whatever cycle day they went in says they in fact did not ovulate. So this is just what I believe. I believe that in the months I don't get sore breasts, that means that I didn't ovulate becaus e every woman does have cycles where they don't, and this is my body's way of telling me I didn't.

Thanks for your response. What you write is exactly what I have thought and feared. You are right though there is much debate on the subject. I'm just so disappointed that I feel like I am grasping straws looking for any sign of hope.

Well don't take what I say as Gods written word or anything LOL. This is just what I believe, and it makes perfect sense to me. But I could be wrong, ya know.

I know. Sorry. I had just "liked" two new pregnancy announcments on facebook, congratulated someone on finding out the sex of their baby, and confirmed the guest list for the baby shower I am having for my two best friends where other than the mothers of the moms to be, I am the only one not pregnant. Needless to say, I am in a dismal mood.

Anyone else have opinions on this. AF now 2 days late ...

I had the exact same thing this month. Af due today and *think* she is on her way. I have also wondered whether I didn't ovulate. It would make sense as usually, like you, I also get sore boobs a few days after O. Let's keep our fx'd tho until the witch properly shows!!

I had this for the last 2 months - no peaks on the CBFM and no smilies in the pm either .... For the past 2 cycles I've had no sore boobs and no PMS symptoms generally. I concluded that I didn't Ovulate.

I was concerned enough that this cycle I decided to use Soy Iso on days 2-6, I continued with the monitor, bought IC OPKs and started temping ... I got a peak on the monitor and 2 clear lines on the ICs on cd13. I'll definitely be using soy iso again!!

Good luck and babydust!

Edited to add that those two cycles, my regular 24 day cycles turned into 28 and 30 day cycles too.

My boobies didn't get sore until I was 6 weeks pregnant with my first so I can't say that every woman gets this right after ovulation. Saying that, when I didn't ov last month but got a surge they hurt like hell but I didn't ovulate!!
