Did you find that your weight gain slowed or stopped in third trimester? Looking at my weight record app in my phone I am actually the same weight at 34 weeks as I was at 28. I'm eating fairly well, but I can't seem to fit very much food in my stomach anymore. My OB has not said anything, but I am very rushed through there so I'm not sure he is looking at my chart thoroughly or not.

I've actually gained more this trimester. I'm up to 26 lbs now. Over the last month I've gained 9 of those.

I just think every woman and very pregnacy is different. You can read what ever guidelines and suggestions you want but you body will do what it needs to. Some barely gain weight, some loose weight, some put loads on spread evenly, some all at the start, some all at the end there is no set rule. With my twins by the time I hit 3rd tri I had gained a total of 9lb, by the time I delivered I had gained a total at 38lb. At no point did one single health professional make any comment on my weight gain.

I had that issue last month, I only gained a few pounds due to being sick. The babies, however, gained regardless- and ended up being somewhat large for their gestational age. My doc said to me then that as long as my babies are doing well, it is not a big issue. :flower: I hope this helps!

Now I have the opposite problem, I am retaining fluid in my legs, which is rather uncomfortable. :dohh: Ah well. Better than being sick every day!

Gosh, lucky you. I'm up 40lbs at 32 weeks

One of my friends just had twins 3 months ago and she only gained 4 lbs!! 4!

The only thing I care about is that my boys are healthy and so far nothing has shown up on the ultrasounds to be worried about.

Depends on who you ask. My doctors were in the camp that as long as the boys were growing they were obviously getting what they needed and my personal weight gain didn't matter (I gained less than 20lbs total, all of that the last 6-7 weeks - babies were born 5.1 and 5.12lbs at 34.5 so that was true at least in my case).

"The book" says it's important at every stage to prevent prematurity and have stats to back that up. They give information on how much and what you need to eat to achieve good gain. I tried my hardest to follow it, but battled insane and constant nausea throughout and had GD from 21ish weeks on that eventually needed to be controlled with insulin. Being on insulin finally allowed some flexibility in my diet which I think is the only reason I was able to gain any in the end.

How have your scans been? Are you told results and growth percentages? I'd be inclined to base any concern largely off those numbers.

Hmmm I've never actually weighed myself during this pregnancy , but babies are growing lovely so no worries for me x

I hardly gained anything and my twins were healthy. I wouldnt worry if you're eating when you're hungry and eating healthy its fine.

I was average around 140 when I got pg and actually within 6 days of their birth I lost the weight and 10lbs and stayed that way since so 130. Probably the breastfeeding.
