Hi lo went to bed at 8.30 last night I changed him about 11 as I went to bed now he's only just woken and I noticed the nappy is bone dry when usually it's very full, he did sleep heavily I noticed.
Just put him back down and nappy is finally wet but bit concerned he went 8 hours and no wee should I worry?

It could be that the nappy is just doing its job. If you are worried i was told by the mw to put a peice of cotton wool in the nappy at the front and to monitor it. Nappies can feel like there is no pee in them but because they are so good at soaking it, it may look like your lo hasnt urinated in it.

no not really, keep an eye in the day and if they dry over the next 24 hours. Has your LO been drinking ok? it has been really hot so babies are likely to have drier nappies at the mo because their bodies will be using more of the liquid to hydrate in the heat. xx

I wouldn't worry with a one-off - if it's consistent throughout the day then just try and get some more fluids in to stop LO getting dehydrated. It's just because it is a little bit warmer I'm sure.

My LO usually goes to bed around 7pm and wakes between 6 and 7am. Yesterday her nappy was very dry compared to the usual 2kilos of wee:haha:

I just put it down to the weather. She was back to normal in no time and drunk some extra water.

I would go to the doctor if it is a consistant thing.
