I am 36 weeks and 4 days, starting last night I have had non stop fetal movement since 8pm (which makes it about 14 hours)... the movements haven't been rapid or frantic but still have not stopped. She has been rolling a lot and kicking a lot. Also, she has had the hiccups a few times and I also had a few BH contractions. I called the doctor at 2am and he said if I was very nervous to go to the emergency room but I chose to wait it out. I have a previously scheduled ultrasound today in a few hours (thank god) and am trying to hold out until I go, so I wanted to see what you guys thought before. Thanks!

I've had days like this - and then days when I don't feel baby quite so much. Mine has just had a quietish couple of days but today has basically been party time in my womb! I'm sure it's all fine, better to feel them than not - but good that you have a scan in a few hours to check. Let us know how you get on!

My little lady has been the same, moved like crazy for so long last night but finally slept then has moved pretty much non stop today too.

Ladies please get checked over. Any change in routine, reduced movements OR more movement can be a sign of distress. Xx

thank you! now I am afraid of distress.... hope all is well :(

Let us know how the scan goes! I bet everything is just great:)

I've noticed an increase in movement throughout the day with my LO. I just had an ultrasound done yesterday to check baby's growth and weight and the doctor said he is doing wonderfully! I wouldn't worry too much until you've seen your doctor. Hope it all went well!

Increased movements are less of a concern that reduced movements but they can still be a sign of problems so any significant change should be checked out same day to be on the safe side.

Thankfully everything was ok and she has gone back to her normal movements... maybe it was just a super active day and night!!! Thanks everyone for your help!
