Norethisterone advice please!

I'm going on hol on the 28th June but am due on my period on the 26th so my doc has given me 10 days worth of norethisterone to take 2 days before I'm due on. I totally forgot to mention that before I come on properly, i get 3 ish days of brown discharge. Should I count this as my period? Bit confused now whether I should be taking the first pill before the discharge is due or when my actual blood period is? Any advice would be much appreciated! thanks!
