Norethisterone to delay period while on vaca?

Hey all,
I am going on vacation at the end of the month, right when I'm supposed to be on my period. I'll be doing alot of swimming and HATE HATE HATE tampons so,

I did some research and found many women take norethisterone to delay their period due to a wedding or honeymoon etc.

Side effects don't look bad either. Am I on here or does this actually seem like a great idea? Anyone have any experience with this?

I just wanted to say I'm currently on that for a different reason, but the side effects seem ok. It just makes me a little sad! It works too. Sorry I can't be of more help

I used this for rwo reasons..
1, constant bleeding
2, I also went away and was due on.. dr gave me it with no questions.. it delayed it for the 7days.. the 7th day I stopped taking it the next day af came.. ahe was a little more painfull but a hot water bottle and ibuprofen soothed her .
