Not another announcement :-(

I'd had a lovely day today, me and a group of friends did the race for life then went to the pub for some lunch and a chat. It was really fun and was having a good time with lots of laughs when my friend says "Apparently i'm going to be a grandma" I just went cold. I felt awful i couldn't think of anything to say and then she started saying how it's the worst thing that could've happened, how she wanted better for her kids (the girl's 19) and i just sat and listened without saying a word trying to look concerned and interested all the time thinking "why isn't it me?" Jealousy is an ugly emotion and i hate it but that announcement ruined my day. I'm in my 2ww now so praying for a BFP this month because i don't know how many more pregnancy announcements i can take.

my friend who didnt want another child just told me the other day that she is pregnant again with her 4th It's sad that so many people who would do anything to have a baby have such a difficult time and those who could care less can so easily.... I guess we just have to try to stay positive and keep faith that our time will come too.... I am not very religious but nothing else has worked so I guess praying a little couldn't hurt right? I'll be praying for you and for everyone else on here that is trying and still haven't succeeded.

I totally agree BH040.
It's hard ttc, and the constant announcements is quite unbearable.
Think about it though, all these announcements recently are from people who haven't been trying. Maybe learning to relax is the thing we all need.
Maybe a wee holiday might help! Fingers crossed for some summer holidays and relaxing.
Maybe baby will be "on-board" us all soon.
