I've been exclusively pumping for over 2 months now and upto this point, LO has been eating great. But once he turned 3 months he doesn't seem to be eating much during the day. He would take 3-4 sometimes even 5 oz every 3-4 hours. Now it seems like he will only take 2 oz here, 2 oz there. I find myself constantly putting the bottle to his mouth because he's not eating as well as before and I want to make sure he gets food. I'm FF right now because I'm on meds till the end of the week and it's the same thing as with the milk. He's still having lots of wet diapers so he must be eating enough but it still worries me a little.

Is this just a phase? Or is this perfectly normal? I try to feed on demand but lately he doesn't show me any signs that he's hungry (the other day went 5 hours on only 2 oz ) so I started watching the clock and trying to feed on a schedule (every 3-4 hours)

He has constant good feeds before bed and first thing in the morning. Maybe I should up those to 5-6 oz?

some days yes, others not that bad... I have noticed that on really hot days he won't eat much but lately it hasn't been that bad

Hannah did this to us once in a while, drove me mad! But every time we went to have her checked the pediatrician said she was doing well  You've seen Hannah, she's a decent size but was NEVER a big milk drinker--sometimes she took more than others but on average it was 24 ounces or less a day....

It's a good sign he's still having lots of wet diapers. :hugs:
