After sucking for around 20mins LO appears to get bored & still looks hungry- I still continue to feed her on the breast for up to an hour.
I have started to top her up with formula now as she always appears to be hungry after.. however if I squeeze my breast there is still milk in there so why does she do this?

she may not be properley attatched - how old is your LO - when babies are small its hard work to milk the breast and so it will take them a long time to feed

She is 3 weeks old.
mw saw her latch & said its good....

I posted this on your other thread about this:

I don't know how old your baby is, but if they're under 6 weeks old, they need to be on the boobie a lot more than 3 times a day if you want to breastfeed.

Mine is 11 weeks old and she still eats every 3 hours that's 8 times a day. Prior to six weeks she was feeding every hour to every 2 hours. (That's at least 12 times a day)

For her to be on the booby constantly is GOOD. She may not be bored but tired!

Bren was always on the boob at that age. Keep going love, it is frustrating to feel like you are feeding all the time, but I promise those days will pass.

LOL! Thanks ladies I feel so much better after reading ur replies...
I will keep going even tho at times it does seem as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel....
