NOT pregnant - left-sided abdo and groin pain ???

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post but... AF got me yesterday but for the past 2 weeks I've had strange pulling, twinges, fluttering in my left lower abdo and groin. I hoped it was a good sign but the witch flew in and dashed all my hopes yesterday. However, the strange feelings are still there ??? it also radiates to my left buttock when sitting, standing and walking helps. It resembles round ligament pain (as described on the internet) but it can't be that if I'm not pregnant. Any ideas, could it be a cyst or fibroid ??????????

Sorry AF got you. I would guess a functional cyst judging by the timing and the description of the pain. If it worsens I would see the docs but normally these go away on their own. Have you had this before? If it happens regularly I would get it checked as it could be a sign of something else.
Hope the pain has eased.

Thanks for your reply. Not had this before, fisrt noticed it about the middle of the 2ww and it hasn't gone away. Today I had brown discharge then gooey almost black stuff. Now I'm worried about ? ectopic but would only be 4+3 so would be too early for symptoms. The left-sided aches are not getting worse but not getting better either. It's not a pulled muscle or anything as I wake up with it feeling the same... any ideas ???

Sounds like classic endo symptoms but could be other things too, or nothing. Did you come off the pill recently? Endo can be masked by the Pill and symptoms become noticeable when you stop it and the endo starts to grow/become active. I take it the brown (old) blood then black clotty stuff is new for you?

Thanks. My last contrception was an IUD (not mirena) which was removed approx. 12 months ago. NTNP since then and TTC since Oct 2009. Never had any problems until TTC ! had a chemical in Dec AF has no completely stopped ????????

Hopefully it's just a functional cyst then. But if the pain doesn't ease then see your doctor. x
