Not sure what to think.

I had my first scan yesterday and I truly believed I was 7 weeks. Well, we did a vaginal U/S and we had a gestational sac and a fetal pole that measured about 5 weeks. I have had no bleeding or cramping. I will have a rescan in 10 days if nothing happens. The doctor seems to think I will miscarry and I feel it is probably too. I figure that I can be off on my dates by about 6 days at the most. But that would mean I would have gotten a positive on first response digi at 6 dpo and faint positives on internet cheapies earlier then that. But for it to still be viable the scan would need to have been off by a week. I just don't think it is possible.

On the other hand I would think that if mybean stopped developing 2 weeks ago I would be spotting or cramping by now, and it wouldn't have shown as well with ultrasound.

one minute I am feeling hopeful and the next min I am feeling devastated.

UPDATE> Went in for second scan and confirmed baby wasn't viable. Waiting for natural miscarriage

Sounds like a rollercoaster hun. The waiting game is the worst. Try to keep positive as you can and don't hesitate to let us know if you need us. lots and lots of

I've been there myself a few weeks ago. The waiting is just awful. Sending you to try to ease the frustration.
Everything may be OK. There are girls who have been on here, presuming the worst, and then a seond scan has confirmed a heartbeat and all has been fine.

Like NikiJones hun I was there in May when I went for a scan I knew I should have been 7 weeks and she couldn't see the baen properly so said I must have been off with my dates, I knew I wasn't so she told me to come back in 2 weeks. Turns out that the baby had stopped developing about 5 weeks and I didn't bleed until they told me that I had misscarried. They call it a missed miscarriage because although your baby has passed your body doesn't reclgnise it yet. It is awful and I hope they are wrong for you hun xxx

I had a scan at 13 weeks and the baby seemed to have stopped developing at 10 weeks. I never had any bleeding or cramps and I felt 'pregnant' still. I then took a week to consider my options before deciding which treatment to have and then waited whilst that was all booked and I still felt pregnant and showed no signs of mc. So basically my bean was inside for 4-5 weeks eventually and I didn't start bleeding or anything. So it quite possible not to show signs of mc.

On the flip side...you see plenty of folk on here who swore they were 6,7 or 8weeks but the bean looks less and they think the worse...only to come back on and tell us the good news when the next scan is fine!

The wait must be horrible, but think you've got to hope for the best, (but maybe also be prepared for the worse if that makes sense). My fingers are crossed for good news for you.
