Bread sticks, sliced fruit and veg, rice cakes are good. Pears are a favourite here because theyre soft and easy to hold. I left the skin on because she couldn't grip it otherwise. Pasta is good buy really big tubes (aren't sure what its called) so its easy to hold. When I'm on the go Lucy usually has boiled potatoes carrots and broccoli or similar as its easy to do beforehand! There are also some fruity oaty bars that are organic from the supermarket that she likes. Currents and rasins are good, but shes only had them since 9 months since she can swallow her food properly, it helps her pincer grip :) scrambled eggs are another thing you could do!

Crumpets, home made pancakes, Yorkshire puddings, mini chicken fillets, home made meatballs/burgers, pizza made with pitta bread, tomatoes and cheese, sticks of cheese, cheese on toast, shredded wheat soaked in full fat milk.. Anything really.

never blended or mashed. From six mths she has pancakes, cucumber, grated cheese, pancakes, flapjack, bread stick, orange, grilled chicken, crusty bread

I did pasta, cauliflower and brockilli for dinner and he had a bit of califlower but didn't want to know :(

We started at 6 months, but she wasn't hat interested until around 7-7.5 months. Now at 9 months she loves it!

Give it time :flower:

Milo joins in with all our meals now but doesn't really eat much, however he's really starting to understand food and is practicing his grip with it. He's come really far in the last month or so. It's so worth it because he's getting the hang of chewing properly.

So far he's had fishcakes, meatballs, sausages, hamburgers, risotto, pasta, roast chicken dinners, rice cakes, cheese, all sorts of fruit and veggies. Particular favourites are sausages and pasta, he also loves mangoes and pineapple.

Like everyone says it takes time and they need to get used to new flavours and textures. Our LO is 8.5 months old now and to think how far she has come since we started at 8 months is crazy!

Some other stuff besides already mentioned are blueberries, porridge fingers, bagels, pizza (I bought the warburtons thins which are fab), salmon, stir fry.
